Jerod has spoken about the rights of minors in the criminal justice system for the Constitutional Rights Foundation and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He was active in the campaign to defeat 2008′s Proposition 6 which would have imposed harsher penalties on children convicted of crominal offenses. was featured in the Los Angeles Times for his work in campaigning for juvenile justice reform.
